How long have you been in the catering business in Phoenix?

Chef Dennis has over 20 years of direct catering experience as a banquet and catering chef. He founded Cater Phoenix in April of 2011.

What type of catering do you do?

We are a full service catering company. If you can think of it, we can do it. We are wedding and event specialist, however we cater business lunches, small intimate dinners, and couples cooking classes.

Do you provide rental items?

What is “Modern Cuisine”?

Phoenix catering companies, as well as catering companies across the nation have gotten lazy. It’s littered with the same old boring appetizers and presentations. At the same time, Americans are becoming “foodies” unlike anytime before in our history. You demand quality and creativity, and that’s where we come in. We have a framed sign in our kitchen that simply says “Innovation not Imitation”.  So Modern Cuisine can apply to a unique flavor profile, a creative way to present traditional stations, or creating innovated cuisine such as fruit caviar and nitro ice cream.

What does "Straightforward" pricing mean?

Our quotes will have a per person price plus tax and labor. We bill labor at $30.00/hour with a 5 hour minimum. The amount of labor you will require depends on the number of guests, the menu selected and the start and end times for the event. Generally, labor runs 5-6 hours per staff member. We have no hidden fees or deceptive add on's such as "Operational or Administrative Fees". What we quote is what you pay.*

Can you customize menus?

Absolutely! We can create a one of a kind menu just for you at no additional charge. Phoenix Catering has come a long way, and we are proud to be at the forefront.

Are you equipped to handle food allergies?

We can customize menus that are vegetarian, gluten free, or abide by dietary restrictions. We do operate in a kitchen that processes nuts and other potentially allergic foods. A complimentary consultation is the best course of action if allergies pose a risk.

Do you handle bar services?

There is no such thing as a “traveling liquor license” in the state of Arizona. However if you wished to have a cash bar for the evening a one day event permit can be obtained. In most cases, offering a hosted bar is the best solution. We can provide everything you may need from spirits, beer and wine, bartenders, portable bars, mixers and the such. How much set up time to do you need for an event?

Generally 2 hours. It depends on the size and nature of the event, but 2 hours is a good estimate when budgeting labor. We can usually breakdown and clean up in one hour after the event has ended.
